Saab Festival 2019

I arrive in Trollhättan, Sweden early on Thursday morning to set everything up. There’s a lot to be done, from putting up visitor tents to getting all the Saab Original parts ready for selling. But I’m feeling engaged and excited, because it’s not going to be just any weekend. It’s the Saab Festival 2019 weekend!

A few hours later, everything is prepared and ready for the big festival starting the next day. And what a start it was – Saab cars as far as the eye could see! Spending most of my time in the Saab Original tent I met people from all over the world, helping them with how to get the most out of their MySaabCar App or registering with our new MySaabCar Online service, as well as selling motor oil, antennas and key rings to Saab car enthusiasts.

The morning flew past but then unfortunately the afternoon greeted us with some rain, but the Saab owners prevailed. The following morning gave us mixed weather but still the visitors showed heart for the festival, just like they do for their beloved cars.

A rainy Sunday followed with the festival reaching its final day and tens of thousands of visitors coming to Trollhättan to engage with the fantastic Saab community. During the last day, a prize ceremony was held at the Saab Car Museum. The prize categories were broad and the cars that won included everything from 2-stroke rally cars, new generation 9-5’s, and even a custom built 9-3 owned by a passionate owner from Ängelholm, Sweden.

To wrap it up, the Saab Festival 2019 was a lot! A lot of people, a lot of cars, and lot of rain, but most of all: a lot of fun!
